Online Trauma Therapy for Adults

Healing Trauma. Restoring Connection. Reclaiming You.

Your nervous system is not the problem. It is doing what it learned to do to keep you safe. Together, we help it learn new, safer ways to respond.

SOMA offers online therapy for adults living with the lasting effects of trauma. Our work is based on science and the nervous system. Healing is possible.

You Are Not Alone

We Support Adults Navigating

Your nervous system is not the problem. It is trying to protect you.

You scan for danger, even in safe spaces.

Your mind struggles to slow down.

You feel responsible for preventing problems before they happen.

Your body stays tense, even when you're exhausted.

Rest feels unsafe. You brace for what if.

It's draining. And most people don't understand it.

"This is a trauma response. And healing is possible."

Our Approach

Moving Beyond Surface-Level Wellness

Trauma-Informed

We understand how past trauma shows up in your life today. You do not have to retell every detail for us to help you.

Somatically Integrated

We pay attention to your body, not just your thoughts and story. Your body often shows us where trauma is still living.

Neuro-Informed

Our work is based on how the brain and nervous system actually work. We use tools that help your brain and body change over time.

Compassionate & Collaborative

We move at a pace that feels safe for you. You bring deep knowledge of your own life, and we decide together what your care looks like.

The Framework

Anchored in the 8 Pillars of Integrative Healing

Our approach brings together brain science, body-based therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness into one clear path for healing. We do not offer quick fixes or surface-level advice. We help your nervous system change in a deep, lasting way.

About the Founder

Led by Dr. Reyna Aday,

PhD · LMHC · LPC · NCC · CST · MCAP · CHt · CFMHE · RYT-500 · EMDRIA-Approved Consultant

SOMA was founded by Dr. Reyna Aday, a licensed therapist and board-certified sex therapist. She is licensed in five states and has been in private practice for over ten years. Her work is grounded in research, honors culture and identity, and treats every person with deep respect.

Dr. Aday's original theoretical contributions to the field include Emotional Colonization, which explains how narcissistic abuse can slowly take over a person's emotional life, and Emotional Sovereignty, a step-by-step way to help people take back their sense of self, using what we know about the brain and nervous system.

SOMA also serves as an advanced teaching practice, supervising graduate trainees from NOVA Southeastern University.
