I do not live near Miami. Is virtual care different from being seen in person?
No. The work is the same specialized EMDR and somatic trauma therapy we provide in Coral Gables, paced to your nervous system by secure video. Clients join from Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, St. Petersburg, Tallahassee, Naples, and smaller communities across Florida. If you are ever in South Florida, in-person sessions can be arranged as part of the same care.
Is online EMDR as effective as in-person EMDR?
Research and clinical experience both show virtual EMDR can be just as effective when it is paced well. Dr. Aday is an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant and keeps the work inside your window of tolerance, on a screen or in the room. The nervous system responds to safety and attunement, not to the distance between two chairs.
What kinds of trauma do you work with online in Florida?
